Jordan Brand at Nike Becomes 55th Member Company as Coalition Celebrates Its Fifth Anniversary

Washington, DC — April 9, 2026 — The Second Chance Business Coalition (SCBC) at its annual Second Chance Forum today announced that Larry Miller, Founder of the Justice and Upward Mobility Project (JUMP) and Chairman of the Jordan Brand at Nike, has been named co‑chair of the Coalition. Miller has long been a powerful voice in the second chance conversation, and his lived experience provides a powerful testament of resilience and professional success.

He will join Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of JPMorganChase, in leading the Coalition’s efforts to expand second chance employment opportunities across the private sector. The Coalition also announced that the Jordan Brand at Nike has joined the SCBC, bringing total membership to 55 large employers committed to advancing second chance employment practices.

“We’re excited to welcome Larry as co-chair of the Second Chance Business Coalition,” said Jamie Dimon, who is delivering virtual remarks at today’s event. “Larry’s journey is a powerful reminder that when we open doors to second chances, we not only help people get back on their feet but also help businesses find the talent they need to grow. With Larry and our member companies, we will continue the momentum created over the past five years and drive even greater progress in the years ahead.”

Launched in April 2021 with 29 members, the SCBC is marking its fifth anniversary this April, which is also Second Chance Month. The Coalition has made tremendous progress in its efforts to promote the benefits of second chance employment and provide member companies with the tools, relationships and expertise to advance career and economic opportunities for the nearly 80 million Americans with an arrest or conviction record.

“I am honored to join Jamie Dimon as co-chair of the Second Chance Business Coalition and to expand opportunity, open more doors and build a stronger talent pipeline for second chance employment,” said Larry Miller, who is participating in today’s Forum panel, Narrative Change: Shifting Public Perception to Advance Second Chances. “The SCBC has achieved remarkable success in elevating second chance hiring among U.S. businesses and leading a national conversation to rewrite narratives about people with records. I look forward to working with member companies and partners to reinforce a simple truth: our past should not define our future.”

The 2026 Second Chance Forum today convenes employers, policymakers, academics and individuals with lived experience to discuss how second chance employment drives success for people, businesses and communities.
